Dead leaves on a log in the water
A small piece of lichen found during the canoe epic lunchbreak. This was the only period spent in the forest as such.
The canoe epic was a great experience. I haven't been in a canadian canoe for more decades than I care to remember and then it was only once. Grant, Michael and I did rather well I think - no one fell in, Michael managed to haul us over some rocks in the Donaldson Rv, we made good progress up the Pieman (against the current) and no camera gear was wet or damaged. And it was fun.
